Volt is hiring a Production Supervisor for a local company in Fremont, CA.
About Us: We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Production Supervisor to lead and manage the operations of our fast-tracked production plant. This role is pivotal in accelerating the start-up and scaling of production operations, ensuring high-quality output and efficient team management. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to understand and drive complex production processes.
As a Production Supervisor, you will:
- Manage, Supervise and Lead: Manage a growing team of production technicians engaged in machining, soldering, quality control, and other production processes.
- Start-up Support: Oversee the initial start-up phase utilizing experienced technicians, while progressively integrating and training new hires into the operation.
- Production Supervision: Ensure efficient scheduling and production execution to meet delivery and quality targets.
- Process Understanding: Quickly develop an understanding of complex processes, including machining, soldering, and QC tasks, to provide effective oversight and support.
- Team Development: Hire, train, and mentor key team members, including lead personnel for Machining, Soldering, and QC functions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with the Director of Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Facility & Equipment Oversight: Ensure the maintenance and functionality of equipment and facilities, addressing issues promptly to avoid production delays.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
This is a Full-Time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Monday- Friday, 6:00 am –2:30 pm
The ideal candidate will have:
- Be local to the Fremont Area – 15-20 minutes radius preferred.
- Must pass Background and drug screen.
- Minimum 5 years of production supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Aptitude:Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. An engineering degree is preferred but not required if candidate demonstrates equivalent technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership Skills:Proven track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve performance targets.
- Analytical Thinking:Ability to quickly grasp complex processes and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and collaborate with leadership.
- Adaptability:Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to adjust plans and priorities as needed.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in scaling production lines and managing start-up operations.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance and equipment oversight in a manufacturing setting.
Pay Rate: $35/hr. -$42/hr. DOE
*The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
