Job Description 3rd Shift Conversion Dept OperatorJob Description
We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of 3rd Shift Conversion Dept Operator. This role involves operating equipment controls for loading/unloading rolls, winding/rewinding finished products, and preparing, printing, and labeling finished products. Candidates will receive comprehensive training to ensure they are fully equipped for the role.
Responsibilities
- Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.
- Obtain material for processing from inventory bins, and notify supervisors of any damaged, defective, or missing material.
- Set up machine based on production orders.
- Label and pack finished products as they are produced on the machine according to work order instructions.
- Review work orders and drawings, and resolve any conflicts.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.
- Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
- Maintain lift cart certification.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.
- Experience working with large parts or materials (4 ft+).
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Experience with an ERP or computer system to manage work orders and product checks.
- Good job tenure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with film/paper/cardboard rewinding machinery or converting machinery is a plus.
- Experience with bottling/food manufacturing machinery is a plus.
- Experience with hand tools, drills, saws, etc., is a plus.

The company's products are used in various industries such as aerospace, wind energy, marine, automotive, printed circuit board, solar energy, and general FRP composites.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
