Gear Manufacturing Company specializing in high precision machining is currently looking for skilled CNC Machinists with CNC Mill set up experience to be part of our team and grow with the company.
Available Position: Set Up Operator on Vertical CNC Mills up to 5 axis.
This is a full-time position of minimum 40 hrs. Weekly 6am to 4:30pm. Mon. – Thu.
Overtime will be available as required on Friday of each week.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a JOB SHOP environment setting up CNC Mills at a proficient level.
- Must have the ability to mount and touch off tools, indicate fixtures quickly and accurately, Basic programming ability to create vise jaw cutting programs unattended is necessary.
- Must be familiar with FANUC and HAAS controls.
- Basic editing to prove out new programs is necessary as required to produce 1st part to print specs.
- Knowledge of cutting feeds and speeds as applied to Milling, Reaming, Tapping and general material cutting is necessary.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced job shop maintaining a very high quality level of parts with tolerances of +/-.0005" on a daily basis.
- Knowledge and ability to check geometric tolerancing such as Perpendicularity, Parallelism, Concentricity and True position is a requirement.
- Must be capable but not limited to lifting 30 lb. if necessary throughout the working shift while on the job.
- Must be capable of standing for entire working shift while on the job.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not necessary
- Full knowledge of measuring tools required.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to complete set up and produce parts according to cycle time.
- Must be eligible to legally work in the United States of America.
