At SF Metalworks, we take metal fabrication to the next level. Our team specializes in high-end custom metalwork, delivering precision and artistry to every project. We're looking for a Shop Foreman to lead our talented team, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in our shop.
About the Role:
As Shop Foreman, you will oversee daily shop operations, manage workflow, and ensure that production meets the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role-perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring a skilled team. Ability to commute to Colusa, CA is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management - Supervise shop employees, assign tasks, and keep projects on schedule.
- Quality Control - Maintain top-tier craftsmanship, inspecting work for accuracy and finish.
- Workflow & Production Oversight - Plan and organize daily production to maximize efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance - Enforce shop safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Tooling & Equipment Maintenance - Ensure machines and tools are properly maintained.
- Collaboration - Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure project success.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in welding, machining, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and shop drawings.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring shop teams. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and shop compliance.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding shop environment.
