Position Summary:
The Program Manager of Wellness oversees the day-to-day operations, in part by maintaining fidelity to the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment and other evidence-based practices for persons experiencing symptoms of Serious Mental Illness.They must understand and adhere to the principles of Recovery, culturally responsive strength-based practices, client empowerment, and ensure that all services provided are trauma-informed. Develops systems that track performance measures and client outcomes. Plans, supervises and facilitates with staff a wide range of individual group and family treatments; maintains the program according to licensing standards, provides training and supervision to a multidisciplinary team of professional and paraprofessional staff, maintains occupancy standards and compliance with various contracts, manages the programs budget, oversees the maintenance of the site, and participates as a member of the agencys Management Team.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors s degree and preferred two years post-undergraduatein Psychology, Social Work, Education or Counseling and or related field and/or
- Minimum threeyears experiencein mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment or related social services experience
- Minimumtwo-yearsupervisory experience working in a mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnosis program.
- Must demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as a member of the Agencys Management Team.
- Must effectively and efficientlytime manageby being highly organized, able to prioritize, plan, delegate and communicate consistently.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Must be able to maintainaflexiblework schedule in accordance withprogramand managementneeds.
- Strongwrittenand oralskills to meetAgency expectations of high quality in the areas of service delivery, program structure and employee relations.
- Must be able to meettheImmigrationReform Act of 1986 requirements.
- Must havevalidCalifornia Drivers License and a driving record acceptable by the Agencys insurance company and is required to utilize ones personal or Agency automobile to transport clients.
Preferred:
- Five years experience supervising personnel.
Essential Functions/Skills:
- Responsibleformanagement ofpersonnel includingbut not limited to; timecards, schedules,hiring,terminations, onboarding,training, professional development,evaluations,investigations and disciplinaryactions.
- Leads weekly team meetingswith sharedagenda. Collaborate with Admin for notetaking process and saving.
- During weeklymeetingidentify clinical hotspots, share cases with goals attained, incorporate IPS updates, review operations and share CQRT progress and process month to month.
- Meet with staff regularly in a one-on-one capacity at least monthly if not more. Be prepared to provide guidance and/or coaching towards professional development including motivation interviewing and other techniques for client engagement. Integrate other leaders of the organization whenever needed (e.g. HR).
- Responsible for the oversight of MAA Billing and maintaining documentation in the E.H.R. system (Welligent)
- Builds, maintains and complies with Bonita Houses policies and procedures(e.g.Safety, Employee Handbook, ACBHS, City of Berkeley MentalHealth)asit relates today to dayprogram operations.
- Facilitatethe monthly CQRT team preparations in collaboration with Team Leader, works with Admin. Assistantto prepare the charts for the CQRT meetings,ensure the team has all client records current
- Oversees the creation and facilitation of therapeutic and rehabilitation groups led by staff members
- Continually updates workflows and process documentation for the Wellness Centers
- Review monthly with Director of Social Services the productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Regularly prepare and present programstatusreports(PSR), thatinclude programmatic information and data (e.g.meeting contracted units of service, productivity).
- Responsible for monitoringand maintainingcompliance with state licensing requirements,CARF,HIPAA Regulations,andspecific on-site program operations(Medi-Cal Site certification, Fire Inspection Clearance)as assigned.
- Participate in budget development/management of county contracts, private sector contracts and private pay sources in conjunction with the Director of Finance
- Inputfortheprogramsfiscal performance, including managingbottom-lineresults, budget modifications,andexpense/revenue management.
- Act as liaison with other mental healthagencies.Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance,QAand IT to ensure successful program operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Constantly have ability to bend and stoop, ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, possess hand-eye-foot coordination and color recognition, good manual dexterity, with the ability to perform all tasks related to job assignments.
