Job Description

Our Language Academy is looking for a fun and energetic Mandarin Chinese speaker to teach Chinese Classes for school aged children (Kinder – 5th grade).

Job Hours

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 2pm-6pm

Tuesday – 1pm- 6pm

You will be teaching children classes such as:

  • · Cooking
  • · Art
  • · Music
  • · Reading
  • · Writing
  • · Science
  • · Dance
  • · History
  • · Culture

QUALIFICATIONS

STAR Education follows LAUSD employee guidelines:

  • All staff must show proof of vaccination against the covid 19 virus.

· Prior experience in working with children

· Strong work ethic

· Ability to be self-motivated and take initiative.

· The applicant should also have strong communication skills, be organized, creative, detail oriented, enthusiastic, and energetic.

· Flexible schedule is a plus

  • Teaching experience is a plus
  • Must be able to work legally in the U.S.
  • Native Speaker

The position is part-time. Pre-employment background check is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
