SNAP (Students Needing Adaptive Programming) Swim Instructor
Job Summary
The Aqua-Tots Adaptive Swim Instructor position consists of teaching our Learn to Swim
program to our SNAP (Students Needing Adaptive Programming) kids. Your primary
objective will be to ensure safety within the pool environment and teaching students to be
safe and confident swimmers for life.

SNAP Swim Instructor Duties includes:
Uphold our Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Core Values
Teach swim lessons in accordance with the Aqua-Tots curriculum
Build relationships with the families
Be knowledgeable and respond to parent questions regarding progression and our
curriculum
Check pool chemicals and maintain the chemical log
Maintain the organization of the pool area
Assist in the cleaning of the pool environment (windows, showers, deck, etc.)
Fill out the Aqua-Cards after every shift
Understand and uphold the Aqua-Tots minor in-water incident procedures
Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings and team bonding events
SNAP Swim Instructor Certification Requirements
Aqua-Tots Water Safety Instructor Certification - we provide and pay for training!
Aqua-Tots SNAP Instructor Training
CPR and First Aid Certifications- we provide and pay for training!
Expected Swim Instructor Hours/Time Allocation
Part-time, hourly paid position

Minimum Qualifications for SNAP Swim Instructor
Reliable transportation to work
Open availability
Capable of swimming
Previous experience working with children with requiring adaptive support
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with lifeguarding, competitive swim, instructing, or aquatics
